Charles L. Braun

Professor Braun, in the Chemistry at Dartmouth College, provided invaluable advice during the writing of sections of the book “Electronic Processes in Organic Crystals”. He also presented a paper at the first International Conference in Honor of Professor Martin Pope in 1988.  He is noted for his introduction of Onsager’s quantitative theory of geminate recombination to the problem of the  low quantum efficiency of photogeneration of carriers in organic molecular crystals.
