Steve Arnold

Now  University Professor at the Polytechnic University of New York,  Professor Arnold joined my group as a Research Scientist in the 1970’s.  He is an excellent experimentalist and scientist, and played a major role in improving the design and performance of the Millikan-Pope apparatus for measuring the excitonic and electronic properties of  micron-sized  conjugated organic crystals.  He also carried out  experiments on the caging of triplet excitons in small domains and the  development of photophoretic spectroscopy.  At Polytechnic University of NY he continued  his work on micron-sized systems with unique results.
